Willa has always been hidden in her fathers shadows. He was a hard hitting oil man and US Senator and he was very mean. After he is murdered Willa is finding out a lot more about the man and she is not sure if she likes it or not. Especially after her parents house and her house is burglarized not long after she finds some suspicious files on his computer.
Willa has a lot of things going on her plate and now she has someone trying to kill her. The only person around to help her is suppose to be her rival. She has had a crush on Gabe Dawson since she was a teenager, now that she is grown up she is finding that that attraction has not gone away. Willa is a strong female character, she has a lot of things going on but she pretty much keeps her head on straight. There was only a few instances that drove me crazy and that was when she jumps to conclusions about things without talking to Gabe about them, she is now a US senator but she runs off with out her security team, distraught or not that was stupid, and then after jumping to another conclusion, she sneaks out to meet the bad guy without letting anyone know what was going on. Did she just want to get herself killed??
Gabe is a billionaire playboy, he married once and she sort of burned him from wanting to get married again. He figures that he could play around for a while and then maybe try again, but now he has hit forty and he is not so sure. Then Willa comes back into his life and she is twelve years younger than him and he things she is to young, but he can't stop thinking about her. Now if he can keep her safe he might get a chance at love. I loved Gabe, as you don't get a lot of older men in romance novels they are usually in their twenties or early thirties. He is sexy, rich and powerful, but he also has a soft side and gives to a lot of different charity types. He just doesn't kiss ass to the local charities and that makes a lot of the locals not so happy. I love it! I also love how he deals with the stupid reporter!
A Billionaire's Redemption was a fun romantic suspense novel and I really enjoyed it. If you like romances then I recommend you give it a try.
