(Sad to say I haven't read any of the previous books in these series, guess I must do some adding to my TBR list..lol)

I also thought just in case anyone else was curious I would list the books that people mentioned. I know I always like learning about books I haven't heard of, so here I go:

Con and Conjure by Lisa Shearin
Gemini Bites by Patrick Ryan
Lover Unleashed by JR Ward
How to Seduce a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper (This one is high up on my TBR list!)

I have to say that I don't think I have heard of most of these books..LOL and some of them I don't even know the authors so will have to look at some more closely to see if I might want to read them. :)

Oh yeah I got so wrapped up in the books that everyone listed that I almost forgot to announce the winner!

I used Random.org's number generator:
#18 Barb is the winner!

Congratulations!! But don't fret if you didn't win I will be doing another giveaway for April's New Releases so keep looking out for that post!

"Follow the Drugs."

Her sister's last words shake FBI agent Heather Sloan to the core. They also convince her that the helicopter crash only Heather survived wasn't an accident. Sheriff's deputy Jeremy Latham is assigned the case—he's the one who can help Heather find the person responsible…once she convinces him they should work together. As they dig for the truth, they learn to trust and care for each other. Will they lose it all when the killer targets Heather? She's willing to risk her life to find her sister's killer—but her code of justice could cost her the chance to win Jeremy's love.

Liz Johnson is one of my favorite authors of Love Inspired Suspense novels. I always know that each  time I pick one up I am going to get a great read and this one doesn't fail either.

Heather Sloan's sister was killed in a Helicopter accident and Heather was wounded pretty bad, so her superior has told her she has to take some time off and that she might not be able to come back to work for three months. Heather can't stand this, she must find who killed her sister and will do about anything to figure it out. Heather is a great character, she is strong, though a bit stubborn at times, funny, over all she is a great female character.

Jeremy Latham a Sheriff's deputy who wants to find the answers to what made the helicopter crash. He doesn't think it was a accident, so he reluctantly lets Heather tag along with him to find out who caused the crash and why. Jeremy is handsome, strong, fun and a bit stubborn as well.

Both of them have a lot of pain in their lives.  Heathers is more resent with the death of her sister. Jeremy still blames himself for the death of his fiance. So when the killer comes after Heather his protective instincts come into play and this time he will not fail. Neither one of them are looking for a relationship, but they bond as they try to track down a killer.

Over all this was a very face paced romance suspense novel and I would recommend it to any one who likes to read Christian fiction.

Review of How To Flirt With a Naked Werewolf + Interview with Molly Harper

Please welcome Molly Harper to my blog today. She was kind enough to take some time out and be on my blog. Molly Harper was raised in Mississippi and Kentucky, Molly Harper graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in print journalism. She worked for six years as a reporter and humor columnist; her reporting duties included covering courts, school board meetings, quilt shows, and once, the arrest of a Florida man who faked his suicide by shark attack and spent the next few months tossing pies at a local pizzeria. Molly lives in western Kentucky with her husband and daughter. She is the author of the Nice Girls series and the Naked Werewolf series.

Tell me something about yourself that isn't in your author bio.

I am afraid of clowns. Deeply, deeply terrified.

What made you chose the genre you write in?

I have always loved the paranormal, to the point that my parents and teachers worried a bit. It was a natural fit that I would write about vampires and werewolves.

How to Flirt with a Naked WerewolfThe naked werewolf series is the first books I have read of yours so I don't know how your other books are, but do you usually try to put a little bit of comedy into your books?

Yes, all of my books are more funny than scary. I can’t write seriously. I’m not a very serious person.

Which do you prefer werewolves or vampires?

Don’t make me choose! I guess if I was given the choice to date/mate either, I would go with werewolves. You could still have a somewhat normal life, have kids, etc.

Besides going to the wolf sanctuary what other kind of research did you do to prepare to write about werewolves?

Actually, I went to the wolf sanctuary after the books were printed. I did do a lot of reading about Alaskan weather, animals and plants. But I made my own werewolf rules up as I went.

What do you plan to write after the naked werewolf series?

There will be a fourth Jane Jameson book released in March 2012. And I’m working on two spinoff books set in Half Moon Hollow.

Anything you would like to share with my readers? Maybe a website on where you can be found or something?

How to Flirt With a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper
Pages: 384
Publisher: Pocket Book
Review Source: Ayelet Gruenspecht from Pocket book
My rating: 5/5

Mo Wenstein has just broken up with her boyfriend and has decided she needed a change. She also has some very interesting yet intrusive parents that sort of make it easier for Mo to decide to move all the way across country to Grundy, Alaska.

Mo moves to Grundy with a plastered "New Arrival" stamp on her forehead. She is very pretty so the men start to perk up a bit when she walks into the Blue Glacier saloon. It's one of those small towns were everyone knows everyone and most don't take to well to outsiders. Though some Grundy natives take to her very well, like Abner, this really cute old man or Alan the local Ranger. There is one man in particular that doesn't seem to like Mo at all, and it drives her crazy. That would be Cooper the neighborhood friendly werewolf.

Then one day while Mo was at home she hears some weird noise on her porch. She takes a look outside and finds a naked man with a bear trap on his ankle. Then she realizes that the naked man is Cooper. She helps him in the house fixes his ankle that is healing as she bandages it. She was a pit surprised when she looked back over at the man laying on the floor and found a wolf instead. If Mo though Grundy might be a little boring, it sure just got interesting real fast.

Cooper is suppose to be the Alpha of his pack but because of somethings that happened he left the pack and is now on his own in Grundy, though he does have family there, Evie the local saloon's owner. Some strange attacks start happening around Grundy, some locals are attacked by a wolf and some hikers. Cooper can't really remember everything that he does while in wolf form and thinks he might be responsible, but Mo just doesn't believe that.

Mo never really thought she would move to Grundy and fall in love with a werewolf, but now that its happened her thoughts on relationships has gotten a lot more complicated.

This is the first novel of Molly Harper's that I have read and I found it very entertaining and I will be reading some more books by this author. I could tell by the tittle of this book that it was going to be a fun romp. The characters are great. I don't think there is a character, well besides the bad guy that I didn't like. All of them from Main Characters to secondary characters were so alive.

Mo is a very spunky and at times you might think a little suicidal (picking fights with werewolf females..lol) but I liked how she defended Cooper and never backed down either. She even smacked Cooper a couple of times too, she definitely had some nerve. I guess that makes her perfect for dating a werewolf. Cooper, he is sexy and brooding, sometimes I wanted to smack him myself for the way he acted, but he grows on you. Evie, Buzz, Abner, Alan, and the rest of the Grundy gang sweeps you off your feet and you just fall in love with them all. Because of this I have a bone to pick with the author because of what happens to one of my favorite characters, but I shall now say because you must read the book and find out yourself.

Molly Harper has a unique way of blending comedy and the paranormal together to make her books just down right fun to read. Though for those who may not care for sex in their books I must say that this is a adult read. I would recommend this to anyone who loves paranormal reads and say quick go and get you a copy!!!!

Review of A Discovery of Witches

A Discovery of Witches: A Novel
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Pages: 579
Publisher: Penguin Audio
Review Source: Used a credit at audibles.com
My rating: 4/5

A richly inventive novel about a centuries-old vampire, a spellbound witch, and the mysterious manuscript that draws them together.

Deep in the stacks of Oxford's Bodleian Library, young scholar Diana Bishop unwittingly calls up a bewitched alchemical manuscript in the course of her research. Descended from an old and distinguished line of witches, Diana wants nothing to do with sorcery; so after a furtive glance and a few notes, she banishes the book to the stacks. But her discovery sets a fantastical underworld stirring, and a horde of daemons, witches, and vampires soon descends upon the library. Diana has stumbled upon a coveted treasure lost for centuries-and she is the only creature who can break its spell.

Debut author Deborah Harkness has definitely hooked me in with her novel A Discovery of Witches. Now I won't pretend to know anything about tenure at a college, or alchemical things so it helps anyway for me to enjoy this book much more because I wouldn't know if the author screwed something up. LOL

I listened to this book on audio and the narrator had a very smooth and enjoyable voice. She did a very good job with trying to make voices for everyone and only sort of messed up on that when she was trying to do two male voices at the same time. For example she had a voice for Mathew, but when she had a new male voice Mathews voice sort of disappeared and became like the other male voice. Though I don't think I could do all those voices while reading the book aloud so kudos to the narrator Jennifer Ikeda.

We learn that Diana is a witch, but she really doesn't like to have anything to do with magic. She is a historian and was wanting a alchemical manuscript and she receives the manuscript but didn't know it at the  time but she called the script using magic because it was under a spell and everyone wants this particular script. So even though she has put it back and has no clue how to call it back everyone thinks she can and it puts her life in danger. Not only do other witches want this manuscript but Vampires and Demons as well.

There is a certain vampire Mathew Claremont who keeps hanging around and get to know Diana and sort of becomes her protector from everyone. He also wants the manuscript but he takes a liking to Diana even though he knows that you are not suppose to mix breeds. There is a council that is formed from three witches, vampires and demons to enforce such rules like that one. So being together is dangerous in more ways than one, not only because of the script but because of them being different creatures.

Though as you go along you find out that there is a lot more to what the council is wanting than just the script and being mad because they are dating.

Diana is a interesting main character, at first I thought she was a little bit wimpy, but she turns out to be a fighter in the end. She doesn't want to learn her magic, but it sort of comes out of her and she has no clue how it happens. Its sort of weird that she is 35, but doesn't have a clue about her magic or want anything to do with it. Mathew has been around for centuries so he knows a lot about witches and he knows that Diana has a lot of magic in her even if its suppressed. He also knows she is in a lot more danger than she could ever imagine and he tries his best to protect her from as much of it as he can, but there are times when she has to protect him. Mathew sounds like a very likable, handsome vampire and I like how protective he is of Diana.

It also has a lot of secondary characters and villains. Since I listened to the audio I can't recall all of their names but I do like Emily which is Diana's Aunt Sarah's woman. Sometimes I like Sarah and sometimes I don't. Mathews mother Isabol (not sure of spelling) is a pretty fun character. She is his mother because she made him a vampire, just like Mathew has a son Marcus who he made into a vampire. There are a lot of villains in this book, each breed of creatures has villains and good guys. Though so far the worst villains have been two witches and one vampire, but there are a lot of them because they don't like the witch and the vampire being together.

Over all I found the book to be very enjoyable, at points it has some slow parts, but once I got over that hump and it headed towards the end all I wanted to do was listen to it to find out what happens next. It leaves you wanting to know what happens next as this is part of a series. I would recommend this book if you like witches, vampires and demons. It's got a love story in it but I wouldn't really say it is just a romance book because it has so much more in the book than the romance.

Blog hop and Follow Friday!

It's Friday so that means its time for Crazy-for-books blog hop feature. If you want to join in please go and look at the rules page on her blog.

This week's question comes from Mina who blogs at Mina Burrows:

"If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?"

Okay this question is very hard for me because I haven't really read many series books in a while cause I usually wait till most the books are out..but I guess maybe The Drake Chronicles because I love the vampire family and would want to be a tough friend like Lucy is to Solange.

Hearts at Stake (Drake Chronicles, Book 1)Blood Feud (Drake Chronicles)Out for Blood (Drake Chronicles)

or maybe the fever series so I could met Barrons!!! He is most intriguing and sexy!

Darkfever (Fever Series, Book 1)Bloodfever: The Fever Series (A Mackayla Lane Novel)Faefever: The Fever SeriesDreamfever: The Fever SeriesShadowfever

1) I can't help but read more than one book at a time. Right now I am reading at least three.
2) I read everywhere, at work, while waiting for my food to arrive at a restuarant, I even listen to a book while on the computer.
3) I like a lot of different genres, but  suspense and paranormal are sort of my favorites right now.
4) My TBR pile is way out of control yet I can't help but buy more books.
5) I am a goodreads addict which also makes my TBR list expand.
