BTT: Winter Reading

The northern hemisphere, at least, is socked in by winter right now… So, on a cold, wintry day, when you want nothing more than to curl up with a good book on the couch … what kind of reading do you want to do?

Well, it is quite nasty here in the mid west were I am. We are trying to recover from last friday's snow storm and now it is sleeting/raining with possiblities of snow..blah. So when its cold like this I really don't like going anywher unless I have too. That makes reading one of my favorite things to do, but I don't really have a special type of winter read. Right now I am working on a couple books that I am doing for review. I do believe if I had to pick a type of book I would probably go for a light-hearted romance.

What are your winter reads?

We have not had snow, but we've had torrential amounts of rain--cold,nasty weather.
I have a big stack of books I'm reading:
The Blood of Lambs by Kamal Saleem
Songbird Under A German Moon by Tricia Goyer
How To Read A Book by Mortimer J. Adler and Charles Van Doren
When Hell Was In Session by Jeremiah A. Denton Jr.
The Hidden Flame by Davis Dunn and Janette Oke
Lineage Of Grace by Francine Rivers
The Collected Stories of Eudora Welty by Eudora Welty
Chosen by Ted Dekker

And then I am some more.........

I don't really have a certain type of book to read. I'm in major series mode since that seems to be pretty much what I've been reading lately. I just hope the evil white doesn't come back. It looks like it just might but the fingers are crossed that it won't. I don't even want to say the word. There's been too much of the white stuff since winter started early so maybe it is over. At least I hope it's over.

I am Midwest born and raised, and know what a snow storm is like, even though I live on the west coast now.
My stormy winter reading is all over the map, regarding subjects. I just finished reading "Dead Beat" by Jim Butcher. These are set in Chicago and the hero is a wizard who works as a P.I.
